This winter has been a rough one for many pastors, especially in the United Methodist Church. Between constantly-breaking political news and the conflict of General Conference, not to mention a “bomb cyclone” of rain, wind, and snow for much of the Rocky Mountain region this week, the wilderness of Lent seems to be upon us in some very real and challenging ways.
Now is the perfect time to plan a day away from your weekly routine to take a deep breath, connect with God and with colleagues, and be inspired for future seasons of worship in your setting.
On March 28 and April 4, Rev. Kerry Greenhill will be leading day-long worship planning retreats at Grace UMC in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Scott UMC in Denver, Colorado, respectively.
Worship Planning Retreats are an opportunity for pastors to gather with colleagues, engage in prayer and reflection, receive some tools and resources for making worship even more lively and meaningful in your setting, and dive deep into the Scriptures to plan ahead for a series or season.
Each retreat starts at 9:30am and ends at 4:30pm. Cost is $60 per person, with group discounts for churches that bring multiple people. Lunch options vary depending on location. Please contact Kerry (Kerry@SacredStonesMinistries.org) to make special arrangements or requests.
A certificate of participation will be provided for those who desire documentation of continuing education or professional formation events.
Registration closes the Friday before each event, so don’t delay – sign up today!
