The school year has brought with it the experience of growing closer to the person God has created you to be.
The school year brought the gifts of teachers and learning, and ends with a great sense of accomplishment and . . . relief.
The school year has been more than learning facts about science or history or math or even new skills in art.
The school year has held each of you in the love and drama of friends; the differences and similarities of groups, and provided opportunities for making choices.
However, the school year is almost over and summer dawns with freshness and excitement.
What are we going to do with this summertime?
This community of faith wishes for you lots of rest; that you will find a something wonderful to read, that you will be safe, that you will have plenty of time for fun with family and friends, and that your walk with God will bring you closer to a place of wonderful surprises about who you are in God’s eyes.
We offer you these blessings in the name of God the creator of summertime, the sustainer of our faith, and the holy presence that is with us all the time in darkness and in sunshine, the cold of winter and the warmth of summertime.
Blessings to all of you.
