Lenten blessings to our friends and followers! I hope your Ash Wednesday was a meaningful start to the season, whether you were snowed in or offering Ashes to Go outside on a sunny day. May you find ways to see the image of God in others more clearly, love God more dearly, and follow Christ more nearly each day.
We’ve posted some new events on our site that we wanted to bring to your attention:
Teaching the Stories of Our Faith: A Workshop for Those in Ministry with Children is led by Rev. Denise and Rev. Nani; and Encountering the Holy: Enlivening Worship through God-Centered Design is led by Rev. Kerry. Here’s a flyer with the details. There’s still room for more participants, so if you’re in that neck of the woods (or valley, as the case may be), you can still register online at http://www.hilltopumchurch.org/.
Then on Friday, April 10, you’re invited to join us for a night out to see THE 12 at the Denver Center for Performing Arts. Our first ever Theater & Theology evening begins with an optional dinner at the Rialto Café ($29 includes a parking voucher), followed by the main event, a rock musical that follows the twelve apostles as they wrestle with fear, uncertainty, anger and love in the days following Jesus’s death.
It’s the week *after* Easter, so all the pastors and other church leaders reading this can look forward to some post-Holy-Week-relaxation among kindred spirits! Theater tickets are $59 each (nearly half of that goes to support Sacred Stones Ministries), and must be paid for by March 2.
Email email@example.com today to learn more and reserve your space for a fabulous evening!
